Hi! I’m Dorota,

When I moved to Canada from Poland at 40, I struggled to find my footing and truly feel like I belonged. Like many of you, I turned to creativity to bring comfort and purpose into my life.

One day, while caring for my kids at home, I stumbled across HGTV and thought, I could do this.

A garage sale find, a can of paint, and a little courage were all it took to ignite a passion I never expected. What started as a way to decorate my home on a budget quickly became something more—it became my creative escape, my confidence builder, and eventually, my business.

Now, I get to share that journey with you.

Whether you're looking to upcycle your own pieces, create a home that tells your unique story, or even start a business doing what you love, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

This self-paced, beginner-friendly course teaches you the basics of refinishing and painting your first piece of furniture. You can even start with a piece you already own. You’ll follow the exact steps I use on my own projects and custom pieces for clients, so you don’t have to guess or piece everything together from random videos.

  • How to set up your workspace and stay safe while protecting your home
  • Which tools, materials, and products you actually need to start (and what you can skip)
  • Fundamental concepts like prep work, painting techniques, finishing touches, and sealing your projects
